私は愚かにも、デュアル ブートの Ubuntu 11.10 / Windows XP システムに Windows CD を挿入しました。外付け USB HD に Windows をインストールできるかどうかを確認したかっただけで、実際にはインストールを進めませんでした。

どうやら Windows CD が MBR を壊してしまったようで、Ubuntu に再度アクセスするにはブート修復と Ubuntu 11.10 ライブ CD を使用する必要がありました。

起動が少し違うようです (遅い) が、動作します。ただし、Nautilus でパーティションが 3 つ表示されなくなりました。

gparted を開くと、ハード ドライブ全体が未割り当てとして表示されます (動作する Windows パーティションと現在使用している Ubuntu パーティションがあることはわかっています)。

USB ペンを挿入すると、Nautilus では表示されませんが、Gparted では FAT32 パーティションとして表示されます (アクセスできませんが、これは正しいです)。

これが私のgrub.confファイルです。前にも言ったように、grub を再び動作させるには、ライブ CD で「boot-repair」ユーティリティを使用する必要がありました。起動がまったく同じではないので、このユーティリティによって新しい grub が作成されたのではないかと思います。しばらく画面が空白になり、その後、Ubuntu の読み込みドットが (起動プロセス全体ではなく) 一瞬表示されてからデスクトップが表示されます。

このエラーは、Windows インストーラー ディスクによってパーティションが重複したために発生しました。

私はそれを次のように修正しました:

インターネット接続でライブCDを使用する。

fixpartsユーティリティを使用する:フィックスパーツ

これによりパーティションは修復されますが、grub が壊れる可能性があります。grub を修復するには、grub-recover を使用します。
