20.04 - VGA モニター接続イベントを検出しません

ここでの最初の質問なので、こんにちはと言いたいです。

このような設定でいくつかの問題に直面しています:

  • Dell Precision 7510 とオリジナルの Nvidia グラフィックス
  • Ubuntu 20.04 新規インストール
  • 外部モニター (VGA 経由) を備えた Dell ドッキング ステーション。

問題: ドッキング ステーションからラップトップを接続または切断しても、アクティブな画面に変化はありません。モニターがスタンバイ モードのときにドッキング ステーションを接続しても、モニターは起動しません。

観察:

  • ドッキング ステーションを接続すると、デスクトップが 1 台だけになります。

  • ディスプレイ設定に移動すると (または単に「xrandr」と入力すると)、システムが突然 2 番目のモニターを検出し (ラップトップのメイン画面が一瞬黒くなり、2 番目のモニターがスリープ状態から復帰します)、2 つのデスクトップを使用できるようになります。

  • デスクトップが 2 台あり、ラップトップをドッキング ステーションから取り外しても、システムはこれを検出せず、デスクトップが 2 台のままになります (見えなかった場所にマウス ポインターを移動できます)。

  • 前回と同様に、ディスプレイ設定を開くと (または「xrandr」を発行すると) 更新がトリガーされ、デスクトップが 1 つになります。

  • 2 番目のモニターが検出されると (xrandr の後)、何らかの理由で開いているすべてのアプリケーションが 2 番目のモニターに移動します (何らかのプライマリ ディスプレイになるような感じでしょうか?)

  • 同じセットアップで 2 番目のドライブから Windows を実行すると、正常に動作します。

  • 同じ Ubuntu 20.04 を搭載した 2 台目のラップトップ (DELL E7440) も持っていますが、これも問題なく動作します。

私が試したことは何ですか?

  • ソフトウェアとアップデートを開き、「追加ドライバー」を X.Org サーバーから Nvidia ドライバー 390、450、460 に切り替えました。動作しませんでした。
