ダウンロードしましたtmuxUbuntu 10.04にインストールしようとしています。

event.h はパッケージ内にありますlibevent-dev。

apt-get install libevent-dev

ちなみにtmuxUbuntuパッケージは使えますか？

*-devapt を使用して、どのパッケージに含まれているかを確認しますevent.h。
