Windows 7 で Visual Studio 2012 のインストールが失敗する

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 ビット マシンに Visual Studio 2012 をインストールしようとしていますが、インストールに失敗します。すべてのバージョン (Premium、Ultimate など) をインストールしようとしましたが、以下のエラーが発生します。

マシンはドメインに参加しておらず、管理者ユーザーとしてログインしています。Security Essentials を使用していましたが、インストール前にオフにしました。インストール ソースは MSDN からです。

VS 2010 のコンポーネントがいくつか必要だったようなので、最初に VS 2010 をインストールし、次に VS 2012 をインストールしたら成功しました。

この後、VS 2010 をアンインストールしました。

とても奇妙に思えますが、これは私にだけ効果がありました。
