漸近線はLatexでは動作しません

Question

私は漸近線初心者です。AoPSのコードを試してみましたが、期待通りの出力が得られませんでした。出力に数字が何も表示されません。コードは次のとおりです。

since I can still type my normal LaTeX stuff around it:

私が得ている出力は
