VMware ツール - ゲストのアクティブ メモリを理解する

vSphere 5.1 を使用しています。

によるとここ「リソース割り当て」タブのゲストのアクティブ メモリは次のとおりです。

Amount of memory recently accessed

一方、「パフォーマンス」タブでは、アクティブメモリとはここ:

Amount of guest physical memory in use by the virtual machine.
Active memory is estimated by VMkernel statistical sampling and represents the actual     
amount of memory the virtual machine needs. The value is based on the current workload  
of the virtual machine.

そこで質問なのですが、これら 2 つの違いは何でしょうか?

推測ですが、間違っているかもしれません。

リソース割り当てタブの「アクティブメモリ」は、VMオーバーヘッドを除いたメモリの読み取り値になります。

パフォーマンスタブの「アクティブメモリ」は、VMオーバーヘッドを含むメモリの読み取り値になります。
