奇妙な DNS クエリがいくつかあるのですが、なぜそのようなクエリを要求しているのか、どのプロセスが要求しているのかがわかりません。

奇妙というのは、「-P」の要求を意味します。システムには、「-P」要求を送信する何らかのゴースト「機能」があるようです。

/var/log/messages と他のすべてのログをチェックしましたが、何もありませんでした。

-Pこれは、ホスト名変数が期待されているのにそれが存在せず、次のコマンドライン オプションがホスト名パラメータとして解釈されるという単純な構成ミスの結果であると思われます。

このようなもの：

/path/to/command $OTHER_ARGS -H $HOST -P $PORT

変数が空で欠落しているため、次のようになります。

/path/to/command -H -P

それがどのアプリケーションであるかを見つけることは、コマンドライン スイッチをサポートするアプリケーション (正しく実行されない) を見つけることと同じくらい簡単かもしれませんし、難しいかもしれません-P...
