MySQL neu installieren

Es gibt ähnliche Fragen, aber keine davon hat mein Problem gelöst, also entschuldige ich mich, wenn ich etwas übersehen habe.

Ich habe gerade mysqldbcopyeine Kopie einer Datenbank erstellt, als in meiner Instanz der freie Speicherplatz aufgebraucht war. Mysql stürzte ab und konnte nicht neu gestartet werden. Um Speicherplatz freizugeben, habe ich den Ordner mit dem neuen Datenbanknamen aus gelöscht /var/lib/mysql. Mysql ließ sich immer noch nicht neu starten, also habe ich es entfernt /var/lib/mysqlund versucht, es mit neu zu installieren sudo mysql_install_db. Das hat funktioniert, aber ich konnte mich nicht mehr mit oder ohne mein Passwort anmelden und ich konnte mein Passwort nicht zurücksetzen.

Als letzten Versuch habe ich

sudo apt-get remove --purge mysql*

aber wenn ich es neu installiere, bekomme ich

Mir gehen die Ideen aus. Ich bin für jeden Vorschlag dankbar.

Also habe ich versucht, es mysqldim Terminal auszuführen und sah

mysqld_safe Directory '/var/run/mysqld' for UNIX socket file don't e$ists.

was mich dazu brachte, einfach diesen Directort zu erstellen (und die Berechtigungen zu aktualisieren). Ich konnte dann

sudo mkdir -p /var/run/mysqld
sudo chown mysql:mysql /var/run/mysqld

Ich könnte dann im abgesicherten Modus starten

sudo /usr/bin/mysqld_safe --skip-grant-tables &

und legen Sie das Passwort manuell fest

USE mysql
UPDATE mysql.user
SET authentication_string=PASSWORD('hunter4')
WHERE user='root' AND host='localhost';
