Nach dem Upgrade von 11.10 auf 12.04 Beta erhalte ich den folgenden Fehler. Selbst mit täglichen Patch-Updates hat sich das Problem nicht von selbst gelöst, deshalb möchte ich es hier veröffentlichen.
Ubuntu 12.04 Beta Compiz-Fehler:Fatal: couldn't open display :0
Grundsätzlich gilt: Beim Booten wird auf dem Bildschirm für einige Sekunden kurz angezeigt, dass Ubuntu geladen wird, und dann wechselt er zu einem Terminal-Anmeldebildschirm.
Ich habe eine ATI-Karte, auf der unter 11.10 mein eigener kompilierter Treiber installiert war. Ich bin nicht sicher, ob dieser durch das Upgrade überschrieben wurde.

beim Versuch, den Treiber zu installieren, fglrxerhalte ich eine Fehlermeldung ähnlich dieser: (Ich kann in der Konsole weder einen Screenshot machen noch ihn kopieren und einfügen, deshalb schreibe ich ihn auf einem anderen Computer:
