Was ist ein Apt-File-Update?

Ich folgtediese Anweisungenund ich habe es apt-filezusammen mit einigen anderen Paketen installiert mit:

sudo apt-get install gnupg pbuilder ubuntu-dev-tools bzr-builddeb apt-file

Und jetzt erhalte ich jedes Mal, wenn ich meinen Computer hochfahre, diese Meldung:

Hinweis: Aktualisierung der Apt-Datei erforderlich

Also ging ich schließlich ins Terminal und gab den Befehl ein:

apt-file update

Und ich habe diese Ausgabe erhalten:

Ich sehe also, dass dort steht:

apt-file is now using the user's cache directory.

Was genau ist das also apt-file? Und was bedeutet es, dass jetzt das Cache-Verzeichnis des Benutzers verwendet wird? Ist das eine gute Sache? Was ist hier der Unterschied zwischen dem Cache-Verzeichnis des Benutzers und dem systemweiten Cache-Verzeichnis und welches sollte ich verwenden? Hat dies in irgendeiner Weise Auswirkungen auf meine apt-getQuellen?

  • apt-filewird verwendet, um zu suchen, welches Paket eine Datei bereitstellt. Betrachten Sie es als die Offline- und etwas eingeschränkte Version vonhttp://packages.ubuntu.com.
  • Da Sie apt-file updateohne verwendet haben sudo, kann kein systemweites Verzeichnis (normalerweise /var/cache/apt/apt-file) verwendet werden, sondern es wird stattdessen ein Verzeichnis in Ihrem Home-Verzeichnis ( ~/.cache/apt-file) verwendet.
  • Bei Suchvorgängen anderer Benutzer kann der Cache Ihres Benutzers nicht verwendet werden.
  • Wenn Sie der einzige Benutzer sind, spielt es keine Rolle, welcher Cache apt-fileverwendet wird, solange Sie bei der Verwendung sudo(oder Nichtverwendung) konsistent sind.
