Mein System (Ubuntu 15.04) hat immer wieder das Problem, dass die Maschine zwar läuft, ich mich aber nicht anmelden kann. Beim GUI-Login dreht sich der Spinner einfach und auf der Konsole erhalte ich:

Die einzige Möglichkeit, das Problem zu beheben, besteht darin, die Maschine auszuschalten. Ich bin ziemlich sicher, dass die Festplatten in Ordnung sind. smartctl meldet keine Fehler. Sieht jemand in der Protokolldatei etwas, das das Problem sein könnte?

Dies scheint ein Fehler im cgroups-Subsystem des Linux-Kernels Version 3.11.x zu sein (Fehlerbericht), das einen Deadlock im Kernel auslöst, der zusanfte Sperre. Der Deadlock tritt auf, wenn ein Prozess versucht, ein Cgroup-Verzeichnis zu bereinigen. Ich würde Ihnen empfehlen, Ihren Kernel auf eine neuere Version zu aktualisieren.
