Erst vor ein paar Tagen hat Windows meine recht neue USB-Festplatte erkannt (auch auf meinem zweiten PC und Smart-TV) – allerdings mit einigen Problemen:Externe USB-Festplatte wird nach dem Start von Windows nicht erkannt - erst nach dem Aus- und Einstecken.
Seit heute erkennt Windows die Festplatte nicht mehr. Auch die Datenträgerverwaltung von Windows erkennt sie nicht mehr. Im Gerätemanager wird sie jedoch aufgeführt:

- Was bedeutet es, wenn die Festplatte im Geräte-Manager aufgeführt wird, aber nicht in Windows oder in der Datenträgerverwaltung?

Ich hatte Glück. Am nächsten Tag versuchte ich mehrmals, es aus- und wieder einzustecken, es aus dem Gerätemanager zu entfernen und darauf zu warten, dass Windows es wieder hinzufügt. Schließlich ließ ich es einfach eine Weile eingesteckt und plötzlich erschien es wieder.
Beim Erstellen einer Sicherung konnten jedoch einige Dateien nicht kopiert werden. Ich bin mir also sicher, dass es sich um ein Hardwareproblem handelt, und werde die Festplatte ersetzen.
Interessanterweise werden beim Anzeigen des Festplattenzustands mit CrystalDiskInfo keine Informationen angezeigt:
