HDD-E/A-Fehler nach hoher Multithreading-Nutzung

Ich habe einen Computer mit 64 physischen Kernen (AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3995WX 64-Cores) mit zwei Threads pro Kern (also 128 logische Kerne), der unter Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS läuft. Vor kurzem habe ich 100 Instanzen eines Programms gestartet, das eine gewisse E/A-Nutzung auf einer sekundären Festplatte (neu, 18 TB, Modell ST18000NM000J-2TV103) erfordert, die unabhängig von der SSD ist, von der die Programminstanzen gestartet werden. Ich hatte dies zuvor schon mehrmals getan, aber dieses Mal wechselte die Festplatte in den schreibgeschützten Modus mit E/A-Fehlern und viele der 100 Instanzen konnten nicht erfolgreich beendet werden.

Nach dem Neustart schien dieses Problem zu verschwinden (die Festplatte zeigt keine E/A-Fehler mehr an).

Die Festplatte hatte vor einigen Wochen ein ähnliches Problem: Sie wechselte in den schreibgeschützten Modus mit E/A-Fehlern und kehrte nach dem Neustart in den Normalzustand zurück. Der Computer führte andere Aufgaben aus, aber immer noch waren viele Threads und das Lesen/Schreiben von Dateien beteiligt. Die dmesgAusgabe des ersten Problems war etwas anders (außerdem befand sich die Festplatte zu diesem Zeitpunkt in /dev/sda):

Weiß jemand, warum diese Probleme aufgetreten sind? Könnte es ein Fehler im Linux-Kernel sein?

Aktualisieren:Vor kurzem ist ein ähnlicher Fehler aufgetreten, diesmal jedoch nur beim Ausführen einfacher Bash-Befehle ( grepund ls).
