Ubuntu 14.04 installiert und jetzt bootet Windows nicht

Auf meinem Laptop war Windows 8.1 vorinstalliert.

Ich habe Dual-Boot eingerichtet. Alles schien in Ordnung zu sein und ich konnte problemlos auf Ubuntu zugreifen, nachdem ich es im Menü zur Auswahl des Betriebssystems ausgewählt hatte. Ich sollte hinzufügen, dass die Boot-Methode auf Legacy geändert wurde.

Seitdem ich Ubuntu verwende, kann ich das Betriebssystem jedoch nicht mehr auswählen. Der Laptop bootet einfach direkt in Ubuntu.

Ich habe daher versucht, auf die Wiederherstellungsoptionen zuzugreifen, aber es scheint, als sei der Bootloader von Windows 8 irgendwie beschädigt, da mir nun gesagt wird, ich solle die Wiederherstellungs-CD von Windows 8 verwenden (die ich jedoch nicht besitze, da sie vorinstalliert war).

Ich habe die Boot-Reparatur erneut versucht, aber ohne Erfolg. Beim Neustart wird mir nur ein einfacher Begrüßungsbildschirm angezeigt, auf dem ich aufgefordert werde, Ubuntu, Memtest, Windows 8 Recovery oder Windows 8 Bootloader auszuwählen (für die Bootloader muss ich wieder die CD einlegen).

Ich schätze, was auch immer passiert ist, hat die Dateien irgendwie beschädigt, und obwohl die Live-CD und der USB-Stick auf anderen Computern funktionierten, weigerte sich dieser Laptop, auch nur zu erkennen, dass die CD und der USB-Stick eingelegt waren, was dazu führte, dass ich auf das höllische Grub Recover stieß.

Glücklicherweise habe ich ein Sony Vaio verwendet, das über diese tolle ASSIST-Taste verfügt. Um diese zu verwenden, schalten Sie das Notebook vollständig aus und drücken Sie dann statt des Einschaltknopfs einfach die ASSIST-Taste. Dadurch wird die Sony-Wiederherstellungskonsole zwangsweise geöffnet.

Von hier aus ist es möglich, das Betriebssystem wiederherzustellen, die Festplatte zu prüfen und zu reparieren und auch auf das BIOS zuzugreifen … also habe ich das getan.

Bei einem früheren Besuch im BIOS hatte ich die Startoptionen auf LEGACY geändert, um ein anderes Betriebssystem mit Windows 8 zu installieren. Ich habe dies daher von Legacy zurück auf UEFI geändert und die Startreihenfolge noch einmal überprüft. Anschließend habe ich gespeichert, neu gestartet und habe nun die Möglichkeit, das Betriebssystem auszuwählen.

Mein Windows-System lässt sich im Legacy-Modus überhaupt nicht starten. Ich glaube, Sie müssen UEFI wieder einschalten, damit Windows 8 läuft. Wenn möglich, gibt es manchmal eine Option mit UEFI/kein sicherem Start, die für mich am besten funktioniert.

Anstatt direkt mit GRUB zu arbeiten, verwende ich GRUB grub-customizer, das fast alles erledigt, was ich tun muss, und da es dies in einer schönen, einfachen grafischen Oberfläche tut, ist es meine bevorzugte Option. Es durchsucht unter anderem die Festplatte nach alternativen Betriebssystemen, die in die Startmenüs aufgenommen werden können.
