, erhalte ich die Fehlermeldung ...failed: Name or service not known.
„Chrome und Firefox können aufgrund von Verbindungsproblemen keine Websites laden.“
Das Ethernet funktioniert einwandfrei, wenn ich andere Computer anschließe. Es ist dieser spezielle Computer, der nicht funktioniert.

Es handelt sich eindeutig um ein DNS-Lookup-Problem.
Ich habe die IP-Adresse von google.com auf einem anderen Computer gefunden.
ping -c3 172.217.11.142
funktioniert mit Pings um die 40 ms.
Wenn ich laufe nslookup google.com
, bekomme ich;; connection timed ou; no servers could be reached
Ich habe die Lösung versuchtHierUndHierVerwendung von DHCP und statisch ohne Nutzen.

Ich habe gestern Abend ein Upgrade von 16.04 auf 17.10 durchgeführt. Schon vor dem Neustart funktionierte das Ethernet nicht mehr. Wenn ich zum Netzwerkmanager gehe und auf „Auto-Ethernet“ klicke, wird ein Bild wie dieses angezeigt:
und die Verbindung wird sofort getrennt, ähnlich wie auf diesem Bild
Ich habe viele entsprechende Beiträge durchgesehen, aber keine der Lösungen hat für mich funktioniert.
