No pude instalar subversion en Ubuntu 14.04. Recibo el siguiente mensaje de error:
$ sudo apt-get install subversion

Una posible causa es que no tenga las últimas versiones de algunos paquetes. Deberías intentar actualizar primero ejecutando esto:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install subversion
