Tengo un problema al cargar la tarjeta NVIDIA. Me aparece el clásico "no hay pantallas". Incluso lo obligué a usar "ConnectedMonitor" DFP-0 para la pantalla de mi computadora portátil.
Sospecho que hay algún problema con la configuración que reconoce mi pantalla plana. Mis controladores NVIDIA no lo ven y luego Optimus activa los controladores de video Intel integrados y carga X de esa manera.
Probé todas las diferentes variaciones sin éxito (Nouveau, bumblebee+nvidia_current, nvidia-current only y controladores NVIDIA del sitio de NVIDIA).
Curiosamente, si conecto un monitor mediante un conector DVI a través de una estación de acoplamiento, los controladores NVIDIA se cargan correctamente y encuentran DFP-3. El monitor externo carga Unity, pero el monitor de la computadora portátil se queda en blanco.

No tengo su hardware, pero tengo los mismos problemas en mi computadora portátil con dos tarjetas gráficas.
En mi caso, se debió al hecho de que la otra tarjeta no está conectada al monitor interno de mi computadora portátil (solo se puede conectar a una tarjeta gráfica a la vez. Si no puede encender/apagar correctamente/la tarjeta adecuada y encienda el monitor. Esto es lo que obtiene.
Lo hice funcionar ingresando algunas direcciones de memoria manualmente en grub. En su caso, probablemente necesite hacer algo específico para su hardware. ¿Has probado a usar Switcheroo?
