Actualización: se corrigió el enlace a las herramientas que quiero. Quiero las herramientas basadas en Python, no las herramientas basadas en Java.

Perdón por responder mi propia pregunta.
ec2-api-tools se reemplaza por awscli.
No recordaba el nombre awscli, de ahí mi pregunta.
Sería bueno si el paquete virtual ec2-api-tools se actualizara para que apunte al paquete awscli.
$ sudo apt-get install awscli
