He estado usando una cámara web Logitech C270 durante varios años sin ningún problema en mi sistema con Ubuntu 20.10 actualmente instalado. Pero a partir de ayer la cámara web dejó de emitir vídeo en Zoom y en todos los demás programas de captura de vídeo. La luz de la cámara se encenderá indicando que está capturando video. dmesg y lsusb indican que se detectó la cámara pero no se muestran errores. No sé de nada que pudiera haber hecho que pudiera haber causado esto excepto instalar actualizaciones del kernel.
Intenté volver a una versión anterior del kernel, linux-image-5.8.0-55-generic (la última que instalé es linux-image-5.8.0-59-generic) sin ningún cambio.
El único comentario que he podido encontrar es al ejecutar guvcview. Aquí está el resultado:

Por supuesto, una vez que publiqué la pregunta, solucioné el problema. La cámara web está conectada a mi escritorio a través de los puertos USB de mi monitor. Originalmente intenté desconectar y volver a conectar el cable USB de mi monitor al escritorio, pero no funcionó. Pero desconectar y volver a conectar la cámara web de mi monitor funcionó. No tengo idea de por qué, pero al menos estoy de vuelta en el negocio.
