yo estaba siguiendoestas instruccionesy lo he instalado apt-filejunto con algunos otros paquetes usando:
sudo apt-get install gnupg pbuilder ubuntu-dev-tools bzr-builddeb apt-file
Y ahora cada vez que inicio mi computadora recibo este aviso:
Finalmente entré a la Terminal y escribí el comando:
apt-file update
Y obtuve este resultado:

Entonces, ¿qué es exactamente apt-file? ¿Y qué significa el hecho de que ahora esté utilizando el directorio de caché del usuario? ¿Es esto algo bueno? ¿Cuál es la diferencia aquí entre el directorio de caché del usuario y el directorio de caché de todo el sistema, y cuál debo usar? ¿Esto afecta de alguna manera mis apt-getfuentes?

apt-filese utiliza para realizar una búsqueda de qué paquete proporciona un archivo. Considérelo la versión fuera de línea y algo limitada dehttp://paquetes.ubuntu.com.- Como usó
apt-file updatesinsudo, no puede usar un directorio de todo el sistema (generalmente/var/cache/apt/apt-file) y en su lugar usa un directorio en su inicio (~/.cache/apt-file). - Las búsquedas de otros usuarios no pueden utilizar el caché de su usuario.
- Si es el único usuario, realmente no importa qué caché
apt-fileutilice, siempre y cuando sea coherente en su usosudo(o no). apt-getyapt-filecomparten fuentes, pero ninguna afecta a la otra.
