Después de ejecutar apt update && apt upgrade -yen una máquina virtual, aparece el siguiente error para libssl1.1:amd64.

Este es un paquete vital para cualquier distribución de Linux, no puedo simplemente desinstalarlo y luego reinstalarlo, es decir,apt remove libssl1.1 && apt install libssl1.1
Además, esto es lo que devuelve --reinstall.
apt install --reinstall libssl1.1

Solución alternativa desde elinforme de error,
sudo dpkg-reconfigure libc6
sudo dpkg --configure libssl1.1
