En Ubuntu 21.10, Thunderbird 91no es compatible con movemail(Unix Mailspool) cuentas:

Se eliminó el soporte para movemail.

Apoyo paramover correoha sido removido. En su lugar, configure una cuenta IMAP o POP3 para acceder a su correo electrónico.

Anteriormente, estaba usando exim4Thunderbird para ver el resultado de mis trabajos cron. Me gustaría seguir usando Thunderbird, pero todas las respuestas anteriores que pude encontrar se basaban en su movemailsoporte:

Requisitos:

  • Reciba la salida cron para ambos root@hostnamey $USER@hostname, aunque si se trata de cuentas separadas, sería aceptable.

  • Debe ser local en mi máquina sin necesidad de una red externa. sínoquererreenviar mi salida cron a un servidor remoto.

  • Debe tener mensajes individuales para cada trabajo cron (como con movemail).

  • Debe usar Thunderbird 91. Soy consciente de que otros clientes admiten movemail.

¿Cuáles son mis opciones para ver cronla salida en Thunderbird 91?

Si la única manera es ejecutar un servidor IMAP o POP3 completo, ¿qué es una configuración sólida, segura y de bajo mantenimiento para servir la salida cron localmente?

Anyway, for whoever wants to know a slightly kludgy but likely "good enough" workaround, do this:

    - context-click on the "Local Folders" and find the "Local Directory" address
    - close thunderbird (maybe be paranoid and pgrep to ensure you don't have any persistent subprocess still running)
    - then create a symlink ln -s /var/mail/[SPOOL_FILE_NAME] /path/to/the/Local-Directory/address/you/found/above/Inbox (obviously ensure there isn't already an Inbox subfolder there, or otherwise create a differently named subfolder-symlink)

When I opened thunderbird it indexed it OK and after exiting and reopening thunderbird several times the symlink has stayed in place without problem.
