Tengo: fuente del kernel parcheada, quiero: hash de confirmación ascendente

Una empresa de hardware distribuye su plataforma de software como un archivo tar que contiene, entre otras cosas, un árbol de fuentes del kernel sin un directorio .git. Conozco la versión y sé qué uname -aresultados.

¿Existe alguna forma factible de encontrar el compromiso ascendente más cercano, es decir, el compromiso que minimiza?

diff -r linux/ /path/to/tarballed-linux/ | wc -l

¿O tengo que recurrir a iterar el comando anterior en un rango razonable?

Si no sobrescribieron , Makefilepuede usar y para obtener una etiqueta específica en el historial. Por ejemplo, si dice:VERSIONPATCHLEVELSUBLEVELgit

VERSION = 4
PATCHLEVEL = 4

NAME = Blurry Fish Butt

puedes obtener una v4.4.38etiqueta:
