Windows 7 no detecta la tarjeta gráfica (posible corrupción de d3dim700.dll)

Question

Es una computadora portátil W520 con tarjeta gráfica discreta NVidia Quadro 1000M. La tarjeta de video no se detecta, el instalador de NVidia no funciona porque no puede identificarla y dxdiag literalmente muestra un nombre vacío y n/a en otros atributos en la pestaña de visualización.

Ejecuté sfc /scannow e identificó un (único) problema de d3dim700.dll que no pudo solucionar, aquí está parte del registro de C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log:

La parte clave es (supongo) que el .dll no coincide con el hash esperado del archivo. Me imagino que reinstalar Directx resolvería esto, pero el instalador de Microsoft dice que ya tengo la última versión y no continuaré.

Ejecute elActualización del sistema Thinkvantage. Me ha encontrado componentes faltantes varias veces.

Soluciones posibles:

• Encontrar una manera de reinstalar DirectX. Este hilo (http://forums.indiegamer.com/showthread.php?3265-Forcing-a-DirectX-reinstall) parece tener algunas soluciones.

• Ejecutando una reparación del sistema operativo Windows. Dado que DirectX es una especie de parte del sistema operativo, quizás esto ayude.

• Probar un actualizador de controladores de terceros, como los de esta lista:http://alternativeto.net/software/driver-genius/

Intente ejecutar chkdsk /fprimero y luego sfc /scannowvuelva a intentarlo. Es muy extraño que sfcno pueda reemplazar el archivo.
