El problema es que puedo conseguir que un monitor funcione con esta configuración. Lo que significa lo siguiente:

Las pantallas y los monitores no son lo mismo.
Está intentando iniciar un servidor X independiente y una pantalla para cada monitor, pero esto no es lo que desea hacer.
Quiere iniciar un servidor X con 1 pantalla ( :0) y dos monitores ( :0.0y :0.1).
Debería tener una startxllamada para iniciar :0y el script debería iniciar ambas aplicaciones, moviendo una de ellas a la segunda pantalla con el --window-positionparámetro.
Si sus monitores están uno al lado del otro y el primero es 1920x1080 con una esquina superior izquierda de 0,0, entonces la esquina superior izquierda del segundo monitor será 1920,0.

Lo que dijo Darth. Además, en nuestro xorg.confte refieres tanto a monitor0(para screen0) como monitor1a (para screen1) pero solo tienes una monitorsección definida y esa es monitor0.
Supongo que el error de no encontrar pantallas se debe a que X está intentando encontrarlas, monitor1pero no existe.
