Para mí, usar Internet Explorer yhttpsen lugar de http lo hizo. Eso es pegar lo siguiente en IE:

https://github-windows.s3.amazonaws.com/GitHub.application

Para empezar, también agregué el ejecutable de instalación a mi firewall como se describe aquí, pero eso no lo eliminó. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/16671390/installing-github-for-windows

Primero

Prueba esto:

  1. Abra Internet Explorer (Sí, Internet Explorer)
  2. Pegue este enlace en IE y elija Ejecutar. http://github-windows.s3.amazonaws.com/GitHub.application

Introducción

Tuve un problema similar: después de descargar el 75% del archivo, simplemente se quedó atascado. Luego, aproximadamente 5 minutos después, recibí exactamente el mismo mensaje de error que usted. como lo he solucionado

Como Geogrgios mencionó anteriormente, es necesario agregar una excepción al firewall.

Go to "Control Panel" and click on "System and Security" (make sure that "View by:" is set to "Category" and not to "Large icons" or "Small icons").

Elija Firewall de Windows (la segunda opción en el menú de la derecha). Luego, se mostrará "Permitir un programa o una característica a través del Firewall de Windows" en el menú de la izquierda, haga clic en él.
