Cambiar la contraseña de la red inalámbrica

Tengo un enrutador Cisco de la serie 1900 conectado a un módem. Quiero cambiar la contraseña actual de la red inalámbrica con la que un usuario puede acceder a la red y conectarse a Internet. ¿Se supone que esto debe hacerse a través de la CLI del enrutador? ¿O a través del módem? ¿y cómo?. Por favor, estoy bastante confundido acerca de esto.

Para cambiar una contraseña en un Cisco 1941, siga los siguientes pasos (tomado deesta fuente):

  1. Conecte el enrutador (a través del puerto de la consola) a su PC e inicie un emulador de terminal con la siguiente configuración:
    • Velocidad de 9600 baudios
    • Sin paridad
    • 8 bits de datos
    • 1 bit de parada
    • Sin control de flujo
  2. Si ha accedido exitosamente al enrutador, escriba show version en el mensaje y escriba la configuración del registro de configuración. (A continuación se muestra un ejemplo de un restablecimiento completo de contraseña, realizado con un enrutador 2900 pero con el mismo procedimiento (la fuente es la misma página))
  3. Apague el enrutador y vuelva a encenderlo.
  4. Pulsa Break en el teclado del terminal hasta que veas que el router está en modo ROMMON.
  5. Escriba "confreg 0x2142" y presione Enter en el mensaje que dice rommon 1>.
  6. Escribe "restablecer" y presiona Enter en el mensaje que dice rommon 2>.
  7. Escriba "no" después de cada pregunta de configuración y presione Intro, o presione Ctrl+C para cada pregunta para omitir la configuración.
  8. Escriba "habilitar" y presione Intro cuando Router>se le solicite.
    • Ahora deberías ver el mensaje Router#.
  9. Escriba "configurar memoria" o (exactamente) "copiar startup-config running-config", luego presiona enter.
    • Esto copia la NVRAM en la memoria.
  10. Ahora escribe "configurar terminal" y presiona enter.
    • El mensaje de la terminal ahora debería ser hostname(config)#.
  11. Escriba "habilitar secreto " (¡recuerde el espacio!) y escriba su nueva contraseña.
  12. Para cada interfaz que utilizará, colóquela en posición superior escribiendo el nombre de la interfaz en la consola, luego presionando Enter, luego escribiendo "sin apagado" y presionando Enter. (en caso de duda, búscalo primero)
    • Para ver una lista de interfaces disponibles (específicamente para encontrar sus nombres), escriba "show ip interface brief" y presione enter.
  13. Una vez que haya terminado de configurar las interfaces que desea, escriba "config-register "+el valor que anotó al principio (si perdió el valor, puede ingresar 0x2102 de manera segura).
  14. Escriba "finalizar" y presione Intro en el mensaje después de hacer esto.
    • El mensaje ahora debería ser hostname#.
  15. Escriba "memoria de escritura" o "copiar configuración de inicio en ejecución" para confirmar los cambios.

No parece que haya una manera de cambiar la contraseña de su módem específico. Creo que el módem en realidad no tiene ningún efecto sobre la seguridad de la transmisión de tu wifi, por lo que esto debería funcionar.
