Caída de WiFi con tarjeta realtek en Linux Mint

Estoy en una instalación nueva de Linux Mint 17.2. Desde que lo instalé, noté que mi conexión WiFi se cae pero no se desconecta. El WiFi funciona bien en Windows. No puedo hacer ping a ningún servidor ni cargar ningún sitio mientras dure. Parece suceder a intervalos aleatorios.

Hasta ahora he ignorado IPv6 en vano. También pillé a alguien con el mismo problema que tenía una tarjeta Realtek. /etc/modprobe.d/Creo que se le indicó que escribiera lo siguiente con un nombre de archivo que coincidiera con su tarjeta Realtek. Hice algo similar:

He reiniciado y esto no parece hacer ninguna diferencia. ¡Cualquier ayuda es muy apreciada!

Puede utilizar adaptadores inalámbricos USB compatibles con Linux. Esto resolvió mi problema en mi vieja computadora portátil. Hay pocas marcas que funcionan muy bien, aquí tienes una breve lista.
