Hay una opción --color
en muchos software GNU como ls
por ejemplo. Entonces quiero que los programas que tienen esta opción ( --color auto
) la usen de forma predeterminada incluso si no está escrita.
Utilizo Arch Linux y la consola Live CD tiene salida coloreada, pero la instalada no.

Podrías crear unaliaspara esos comandos, de modo que esos comandos siempre usen esas opciones.
Por ejemplo
alias ls='ls --color auto'
Ahora, cada vez que lo utilices, ls
se ampliará a ls --color auto
.
aliases un shell incorporado, por lo que la sintaxis puede variar dependiendo de su shell.
Simplemente coloque esos alias en uno de los archivos ejecutados cuando inicia su shell.

Puede utilizar el encantador archivo .bashrc de Linux Mint.
Ingrese a su carpeta de inicio, copie su archivo .bashrc real a .bashrc_backup y cree un nuevo .bashrc que contenga:
