Lo estoy usando Windows 7con las últimas actualizaciones instaladas. En el pasado podía utilizarlo Event Viewercomo usuario normal.
Ahora al intentar abrir Event Vieweraparece este error:
MMC cannot open the file C:\Windows\system32\ecentvwr.msc
This may be because the file does not exist, is not an MMC console or was creted by later version of MMC.
This may also be because you do not have sufficient access right to the file.
Si intento abrirlo, Run as administratorfunciona. El grupo Users\mycomputertiene derecho a leer y ejecutar C:\Windows\system32\eventvwr.mscy eventvwr.exe.

¿Cómo podría hacer que Event Viewervuelva a funcionar como usuario normal?

La solución fue eliminar los archivos MMC almacenados en caché en la carpeta %appdata%\Microsoft\MMC. After deleting the filesMMC`. El Visor de eventos comenzó a funcionar nuevamente.
