Sin interfaz inalámbrica en Debian 10 (Asus X502C)

Acabo de instalar Debian 10 en una computadora portátil Asus X502C. Anteriormente tenía un arranque dual Win/Ubuntu y el WiFi funcionaba bien.

Y si utilizo rmmodlos siguientes módulos y modprobeellos, el control de radio inalámbrico de ASUS responde en dmesg y veo que el LED de red se enciende, pero ifconfig todavía no muestra una interfaz inalámbrica: asus_nb_wmi, asus_wmi, asus_wireless.

Después de invertir horas en esto, decidí usar un adaptador USB Wifi. Hay toneladas en el mercado, pero el que estoy usando específicamente es el adaptador nano USB Wi-Fi EW-7811Un Edimax N150, que cuesta $10. Utiliza el rtl8192cumódulo, que es de código abierto y ya está cargado en el kernel.

Sé que es posible que esto no responda directamente a la pregunta, pero de todos modos resuelve el problema y ahorra mucho tiempo.
