Hace apenas unos días, Windows reconoció mi disco USB bastante nuevo (también en mi segunda PC y en mi televisor inteligente), aunque con algunos problemas:El USB HD externo no se reconoce después de iniciar Windows, solo después de conectarlo y desconectarlo primero.
Ahora, desde hoy, Windows ya no reconoce el disco. Tampoco la administración de discos de Windows. Sin embargo, aparece en el administrador de dispositivos:

- ¿Qué significa cuando el disco aparece en el administrador de dispositivos, pero no en Windows ni en la administración de discos?

Compruebe si su disco se reconoce utilizando una máquina diferente o un sistema operativo diferente.

Tuve suerte al día siguiente, después de intentar varias veces desconectarlo y volverlo a conectar, eliminándolo del administrador de dispositivos y esperando a que Windows lo agregara nuevamente. Al final lo dejé enchufado un rato y de repente volvió a aparecer.
Sin embargo, al realizar una copia de seguridad, algunos archivos no se pudieron copiar. Así que estoy seguro de que se trata de un problema de hardware y reemplazaré el disco.
