Intenté usar el comando buscar para encontrar un archivo llamado color.cfg (es un archivo de configuración para látex). Aquí está mi código:

Como puede ver, la pantalla está agrupada con el error "operación no permitida" y el error "No es un directorio", lo que me imposibilita buscar los archivos que necesito.
Esta solución no funcionaya que ya le he dado permiso de acceso completo al disco al terminal.

Los directorios parecen relacionados con el sistema, por lo que se espera que su usuario no tenga permisos para leer el contenido. Darle a su emulador de terminal acceso completo al disco no cambiará eso, sería un riesgo de seguridad enorme.
Existe otra solución que funciona en todos los sistemas operativos basados en Unix y en la mayoría de los demás:
salida de error de redireccionamiento
Generalmente en sistemas operativos unixoidales puedes redirigirstderra un archivo para que no abarrote sus terminales agregando 2> /somefile.
Ejemplo:
sudo find / -name "color.cfg" 2> /dev/null
