Estoy ejecutando Win 11 Pro e intento examinar y posiblemente resucitar una unidad NTFS externa que parece estar dañada. Siguiendo los documentos de chkdsk en: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/administration/windows-commands/chkdsk?tabs=event-viewer
Mi primer intento fue este:
>chkdsk f: /scan
The type of the file system is NTFS.
Insufficient storage available to create either the shadow copy storage file or other shadow copy data.
A snapshot error occured while scanning this drive. Run an offline scan and fix.
La documentación dice que /forceofflinefix"Omitirá todas las reparaciones en línea; todos los defectos encontrados se pondrán en cola para reparación fuera de línea (por ejemplo, chkdsk /spotfix)", por lo que parece lo correcto. Pero me sale el mismo error:
>chkdsk f: /scan /forceofflinefix

Descubrí la respuesta: necesitaba la opción /X. Esto funcionó y chkdsk logró reparar el volumen:
>chkdsk f: /X /scan /forceofflinefix
