Tengo el siguiente problema: cuando inicio con el módem USB conectado, todo está bien. Si desconecto el módem y lo vuelvo a conectar, ya no se podrá utilizar.

Actualización: Prueba en Xubuntu 11.10 Live CD
Lo acabo de probar en Xubuntu.
- Después de arrancar, conecté el módem USB.
- El sistema reconoció inmediatamente el módem y comenzó a funcionar.
- Lo desenchufé y lo volví a enchufar.
- El módem fue reconocido y funcionando.
