Párrafos sin sangría en el elemento enumerado

Por alguna razón, mis párrafos no reciben sangría automáticamente. Mi archivo se ve así:

¿Cómo puedo hacer que los párrafos tengan sangría \item?

Esto está configurado de forma predeterminada porque hay un valor distinto de cero \parsep. No es recomendable, tipográficamente hablando, tener ambos. Puedes cambiar eso fácilmente con el enumitempaquete:
