Beamer: Problema con la alineación vertical, elementos no centrados

Tengo un diseño similar al del MWE a continuación, y estoy confundido por el espacio que deja el contenido del marco en la parte superior y el espacio que queda en la parte inferior... ¿Hay alguna forma de centrar el contenido?

El centerentorno añade espacio vertical al final, utilícelo \centeringen su lugar.
