Estoy tratando de exprimir hasta el último espacio de una página horizontal con una tabla ancha, por lo que me gustaría que la tabla comience más cerca de la parte inferior de la página, pero que abarque igualmente todo el archivo \linewidth. ¿Cuál es la forma más elegante de resolver esto?

Entonces actualmente se ve así. Estoy más o menos contento con el ancho de la tabla y dónde termina en la parte superior del documento, pero me gustaría usar una fracción más del espacio en la parte inferior (lado del pie de página).
Probé varias soluciones (nueva geometría, ajustar ancho, v/hspace, textheight) pero sin mucho éxito. Cambiar la altura del texto parece lo más apropiado para que tabularxluego abarque el ancho, dando un poco más de espacio al resto de las celdas, pero parece que no puedo devolver el documento a su estado original por completo después del hecho y Me gustaría mantener el espaciado del pie de página, etc., coherente con el resto del documento, pero recuperar ese espacio ligeramente.
