Instalación del paquete Jeroglífico

Soy un nuevo usuario de Latex con pocos conocimientos de programación. Descargué el paquete de jeroglíficos y descomprimí los dos archivos. Las instrucciones de instalación enumeran una ruta donde colocar las carpetas MF y AUXMF. Mi problema es que no puedo encontrar ninguna de las carpetas en los archivos descomprimidos. ¿Qué no entiendo de esta instrucción y cómo procedo a partir de este punto?

Gracias por responder. Cualquier ayuda es muy apreciada. Descargué HieroTex-3.5.tgz, HieroType1-3.1.4.tgz, LIEZMOI y README del jeroglífico de fuentes CTAN Tex-archive. Estoy usando MiKTeX 2.9 con TeXstudio 2.12.4.

Los pasos son:

  1. Coloque sesh.exe en algún lugar visible para su sistema operativo (creé una nueva carpeta y puse el nombre de la carpeta en la pathvariable ambiental (en una máquina con Windows))

  2. Coloque todo lo que hay en las dos texmfcarpetas en su árbol texmf local (creé una carpeta texmf y copié las carpetas; luego, como era la primera vez que usaba un árbol texmf local, en MiKTeX Console, debajo, Settingsagregado Directoriesen la carpeta texmf )

  3. Actualice la base de datos de nombres de archivos y actualice los archivos de mapas de fuentes (en MiKTeX Console, en Tasks)

  4. Pruebe el archivo de prueba, llámelo foo.htx:

Resulta que Sesh.exe es un preprocesador que convierte números Gardiner (como A1) en código hierotex ( \leavevmode \loneSign{\Aca GA/32/), que incluye diseño, posicionamiento, dirección y escala.

Sesh usa stdin y stdout, por lo que la compilación de la línea de comandos se ve así, incluidas las flechas de entrada y salida:

sesh < foo.htx > foo.tex
latex foo.tex

No pude instalar las fuentes PS y Type1 correctamente (¡la instalación de fuentes antiguas que no son Unicode es un problema!), y llegué al punto de que la ejecución de látex maketfmfalló porque hay un archivo Hier.cfg que no podía instalar. No lo encuentro.

Alternativa

En este momento es más fácil para mí usar una fuente Unicode (como Noto Sans Egyptian Hieroglyphs) y Tikz sin formato, con posicionamiento y escalado manual, así:

Descargo de responsabilidad: Esto es solo una interpretación del muy malo archivo Léame combinado con algunos conocimientos de TeX. No lo probé.

Encontrarás dos tipos de carpetas en esos archivos: texmfy algo más.

La texmfcarpeta debe colocarse en cualquier lugar de su computadora portátil y MikTeX la indexará tan pronto como la agregue. Coloque el contenido de ambas texmfcarpetas (de ambos archivos) en una carpeta, fi texmf-local, para que tenga la siguiente estructura:

- texmf-local
-- doc
-- dvips
-- fonts
-- pdftex
-- tex

Luego agregue esto a la ruta de búsqueda de MikTeX (raíces de pestañas en el administrador de configuración, que yo sepa). Reconstruya su base de datos de nombres de archivos (pestaña general en el administrador de configuración, que yo sepa).

El último paso sería colocar los ejecutables sesh de HieroTeX en una carpeta que se encuentra en la RUTA de su sistema operativo. Hay toneladas de instrucciones que muestran cómo hacerlo. Pruebe si funcionó ejecutándolo seshen la línea de comandos.

Ahora deberías estar listo para partir.

El autor de este paquete es el profesor asociado Rosmorduc. Los archivos desempaquetados contienen una carpeta llamada texmf que ya se encuentra en la estructura de TDS. Utilice su "opción Miktex", puede registrar esos archivos en el directorio correcto para Miktex. Pero el último paso para su instalación (ejecutar sesh.exe) está desactualizado, porque su nueva versión de Miktex está diseñada para un sistema de 64 bits en lugar del Pro (sistema de 32 bits). Rosmorduc programó sesh.exe. El archivo correspondiente para ejecutar Sesh.exe en Miktex 2.9 que está utilizando se encuentra en el directorio raíz\MikTex\miktex\bin\x64. De hecho, si aún deseas ejecutar el paquete de Rosmorduc, debes actualizar todo el motor de este paquete en este sentido.
