¿Cómo instalar el controlador nvidia (gt 755m) en Fedora 20?

Estoy intentando instalar controladores nvidia para mi Geforce GT755M en Fedora 20. Intenté instalar kmod, akmod y compilé desde la fuente. Ninguno de ellos parece funcionar. Siempre termino en una pantalla negra.

Después de compilar desde la fuente, cuando reinicio el sistema, no puedo acceder a la pantalla de inicio de sesión. Aquí está el resultado de Xorg.0.log:

Revisé publicaciones en varios foros y no encontré ninguna solución que funcionara. No puedo entender qué estoy haciendo mal. Por favor ayuda.

Si está utilizando una computadora portátil (755M indica que esta es una posibilidad), si tiene un chipset de gráficos Intel 'integrado', entonces una forma limpia de hacerlo es con "BumbleBee".

Instalar el módulo nvidia desde la fuente (o mediante kmod/akmod) fue una experiencia dolorosa para mí: probablemente porque tenía UEFI activado y el módulo necesitaba estar firmado, y ese es otro asunto completamente diferente. Elegí deshabilitar el arranque seguro.

Lo bueno de Bumblebee es que permite que el material Optimus de NVidia sea aplicable en Linux, lo que significa que puedes operar en modo de "bajo consumo" cuando no necesitas la GPU nvidia completa.
