Cómo dejar suficiente espacio para escribir notas a mano en páginas de dos columnas

Me gustaría dejar suficientes espacios de margen en las páginas para poder hacer anotaciones manuales en el archivo PDF. El documento tiene twocolumnsy se genera con la clase de documento IEEEtran.

Por ejemplo:

El texto cubre la mayor parte de la página. Me gustaría mantener la twocolumnsestructura pero tener más espacio para anotaciones escritas a mano.
