
He estado luchando con la siguiente tabla durante 6 horas y poco a poco me está matando.
Un par de problemas: 1) No puedo entender cómo hacer que las líneas sean continuas verticalmente 2) No puedo lograr que quepa en una página y aún así sea legible (paisaje A4)

Tu mesa es muy grande... entonces tu proyecto es "cómo poner un elefante en una maleta de dama" :-(
Un ejemplo, que utiliza muchos trucos tipográficos en este esfuerzo por colocar su tabla en una página, muestra MWE (cuyo contenido es solo un fragmento de su tabla) a continuación. Porque se invierte mucho tiempo y esfuerzo en limpiar su código (probablemente generado por algún convertidor de tablas):

Si entiendo su código correctamente, está buscando componer una matriz de correlación de 26 variables o, al menos, su parte diagonal inferior. Para cada elemento fuera de la diagonal, está dispuesto a mostrar 3 dígitos decimales. Aquí está la noticia clara (puede que pienses que es mala): incluso si estableces un \tiny
tamaño de fuente relativo y muy pocos espacios en blanco entre columnas (2*2pt en lugar de los 2*6pt predeterminados), necesitarás (al menos) un documento. tamaño "Oficial de EE. UU." (8,5"x14") o A3 para poder componer la matriz completa en una hoja de papel.
