TikZ/Pgf: no puedo hacer que funcione el "nodo"

Question

Tengo problemas con algunos trabajos y agradecería cualquier ayuda. Me gustaría agregar este tipo de texto a mi proyecto:

Y aquí está mi código, no sé por qué node[left]{$P^*=50$}y node[below]{$Q^*=500$}no se muestra.

Déjame explicar mi comentario... y agregar alguna pequeña modificación del código de tu diagrama. Quizás te haya gustado:
