problema con el paquete siunitx en la plantilla IEEEaccess

Cada vez que inserto el comando \usepackage{siunitx}en mi IEEEaccessdocumento de plantilla, aparece el error \begin{document}que falta.

¿Cómo puedo definir unidades en mi artículo si siunitxno se reconoce?

El problema se debe a que ieeeaccesscambia el significado de \year. En las versiones más recientes de expl3, esto se cubre internamente. Para configuraciones más antiguas, puede utilizar

  \else
