Instale hplip-gui en el administrador de paquetes Synaptic. (no está instalado por defecto). HPLIP Toolbox aparecerá en el menú de inicio, ábralo y verá el logotipo de HP en la esquina inferior derecha del panel. Luego abra xsane y aparecerá una ventana que le pedirá que instale un "complemento", es decir, siga las instrucciones y el controlador de escaneo se instalará automáticamente.
Si el complemento no se instala solo, haga clic derecho en el ícono de HP en el panel inferior y abra el administrador de dispositivos HP, haga clic en la lista del menú: "Dispositivo" - "Controlador Diagonose HPLIP", siga las instrucciones y podrá arreglar su problema.
