No puedo enviar ftp al servidor remoto de forma anónima

No pude conectarme por ftp a mi servidor remoto. Leí el documento de Ubuntu para ver cómo resolver: https://help.ubuntu.com/10.04/serverguide/ftp-server.html

Acabo de instalar vsftpd en mi máquina remota. Ahora cuando corro

ftp rs

esta diciendo:

Verá, aquí dice que especifique una contraseña, pero no está esperando que ingrese la contraseña. Automáticamente continúa y falla el inicio de sesión de mensajes.

¿Cómo resolver? (También agradecería que me pudieran proporcionar algún material/enlace)

No estoy seguro de por qué vsftpd.conf se cita como correcto arriba... La pregunta es por qué el FTP anónimo no funciona, y la línea "anonymous_enable=NO" está en el archivo de configuración, así que ese es un punto a tener en cuenta.

Dado que el cliente FTP no se molestó en solicitarle una contraseña, asumiría que su inicio de sesión "automático" es anónimo; desde hace décadas, el estándar para esto es el nombre de usuario "anónimo" o "ftp" y una dirección de correo electrónico. como contraseña (que todo el mundo siempre falsifica).

No sé qué cliente ftp ha conectado a su comando "ftp", pero si es algo así como ncftp, iniciará sesión inmediatamente a menos que ponga "-u nombre de usuario" en los parámetros.

De todos modos, esos son mis dos centavos en ambas partes, necesito más información para comprender realmente el comportamiento de su cliente ftp.
