Iniciar una instalación de Ubuntu Server 10.04 (falla DHCP)

Estoy intentando automatizar la instalación en red de Ubuntu 10.04 LTS con un kickstart anaconda y todo parece funcionar excepto la configuración automática inicial de DHCP. El instalador intenta configurar la instalación mediante DHCP pero falla en el primer intento. Esto me lleva a un mensaje donde puedo volver a intentar DHCP y parece que siempre funciona en el segundo intento. Mi problema es que esto no está realmente automatizado si tengo que volver a intentarlo para DHCP. ¿Hay algo que pueda agregar al archivo kickstart para que lo vuelva a intentar automáticamente o, mejor aún, no falle la primera vez? Incluye una línea como esta:

network --bootproto=dhcp --device=eth0

antes de la sección %pre.
