QLogic QLE8152 no se conecta con un bucle de fibra

Tengo una Dell R710 con Debian Linux 6.0 (Squeeze). Instalé un CNA QLogic QLE8152 en el soporte vertical PCI-E hoy y he estado intentando que aparezca la capa Ethernet del CNA después de colocarle un bucle de fibra; También lo miré con un fotómetro y el transceptor SFP+ está recibiendo la cantidad correcta de luz. Durante todo el tiempo que he estado trabajando en este problema, las luces del CNA parpadean en verde a un ritmo de aproximadamente 1 destello cada 3 segundos.

Cuando conecto la fibra a un Juniper EX4500 10GE en un bastidor al lado, el enlace de Juniper también permanece inactivo.

Debo confesar que esta es mi primera discusión con una CNA, así que tal vez estoy haciendo algo fundamentalmente mal, pero esto es lo que he encontrado hasta ahora...

Finalmente, lo intenté modprobe -r qlge; modprobe -r qla2xxxy luego modprobe qla2xxx; modprobe qlgepateé el sistema nuevamente... No veo ni una prueba irrefutable en /var/log/messages...

Cualquier ayuda para conseguir un enlace sobre esto es muy apreciada...

Técnicamente, el QLE8152 sólo es compatible con medios de cobre, IE twinax o ethernet. He escuchado rumores de que el itel 8152 puede funcionar con medios de fibra, pero requiere algo de trabajo.
