No se puede instalar Firefox en Semplice Linux

estoy usandoLinux simpleen VMware en Windows 7. Funciona bien pero no puedo instalar Firefox.

Semplice Linux se basa en Debian Sid (rama inestable) con un escritorio Openbox.

esto es lo que obtengo

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-daily/ppa

Después de agregar las fuentes como se indica en la respuesta, obtengo esto:

El ppa no "sabe" acerca de Semplice. Si es lo suficientemente similar a Debian sid, intente agregar el ppa manualmente en /etc/apt/sources.list:

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntu-mozilla-daily/ppa/ubuntu unstable main 
deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/ubuntu-mozilla-daily/ppa/ubuntu unstable main

Como solución temporal limitada para usar Firefox sin una instalación adecuada:

  • Descargado elPaquete de Firefox

  • Lo desempaqué. Ahora se puede iniciar Firefox desde allí.

  • Crear un Firefox.desktoparchivo /usr/share/applicationslo agregaría a las entradas del menú.
