Mi configuración de postfix(+dovecot) es totalmente capaz de recibir correos electrónicos y servirlos a través de IMAP, pero no los acepta a través de SMTP (puerto 587).

El rechazo fue provocado por smtpd_recipient_restrictions. Eliminar reject_unauth_destinationde smtpd_recipient_restrictionsdebería solucionar el problema.
Ya lo has colocado reject_unauth_destination, smtpd_relay_restrictionspor lo que no es necesario volver a colocarlo smtpd_recipient_restrictions.
